US Navy Legacy Flight

The Navy Legacy Flight teams up a modern aircraft with a historical aircraft for a powerful demonstration that honors all naval aviators past and present, as well as shows how far the Navy has come in aviation.

Modern aircraft that participate in the Legacy Flights include the F/A-18G “Growler”, the F/A-18 Super Hornets and the F-35C. The historical aircraft in the Legacy Flights are aircraft that were flown during WWII, the Vietnam war and the Korean War. This can include the F8F Bearcat and the F4U Corsair.

At the Texas Capital Air Show, the U.S. Navy Rhino Demo Team will fly their F/A-18 Super Hornet along side Jim Tobul in his Chance-Vought F4U-4 Corsair “Korean War Hero.”
