US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet

Based out of Naval Air Station Oceana, the Strike Fighter Squadron (VAF) 106 will show off the incredibly powerful capabilities of the F/A-18 Super Hornet during their single-ship demo.

The Super Hornets entered service in 1999 as a replacement for the F-14 Tomcat and are the second major upgrade to the F/A-18 program. As a carrier-capable, multirole fighter aircraft the Super Hornet can take on a variety of missions such as a fighter escort, air defense suppression, and day/night precision strike.
