B-25 “Yellow Rose”

CAF Central Texas Wing

During WWII, the B-26 “Yellow Rose” served stateside as a trainer and was eventually placed in storage. Post-WWII it was pulled out, modified, and served once again as a trainer before being placed back into storage. It was dropped from the military in 1959 and was sold to civilians.

Today, the B-25 “Yellow Rose” is one of roughly one of 40 flying B-25s in the world. It was donated to the Central Texas Wing in 1981, and underwent a four year restoration to be restored to its WWII flying condition.
