Preparing to Attend the Show
What happens if it rains? What is the policy?
The event will take place rain or shine. Flight schedules may be adjusted to accommodate weather conditions. If flying is delayed due to weather, there are lots of static aircraft and other exhibits to experience until flying resumes.
There are no refunds or rain checks. All sales are final.
Is my ticket good for either day of the show?
No. Please ensure you have purchased a ticket for the Saturday show if you’d like to attend Saturday, and a Sunday ticket if you’d like to attend Sunday. Tickets are non-transferable.
What am I allowed to bring?
Will there be a general aviation fly in?
No, we will not be having a general aviation fly in at the Air Show.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final. In the event of performer illness, inclement weather, or technical issues, there will not be a refund or exchange given.
Can I bring an umbrella?
Small handheld umbrellas are allowed, as well as folding chairs with built-in covering.
Large umbrellas, tents, and canopies are NOT allowed.
What is prohibited?
Is your site ADA accessible?
Absolutely! Both the show and parking are on hard surfaces.
Can I bring my wheelchair/electric scooter/golf cart?
Motorized scooters and wheelchairs for disabled patrons are allowed in the air show grounds. Personal golf carts are NOT allowed. Please be aware that the crowds may be heavy, maneuvering may be difficult, and that there is no place at the show to plug in and recharge.
Can I tailgate or bring chairs for the parking lot?
Due to safety and logistical concerns, we do not allow tailgating in our parking lots.
Can I camp at the show?
Camping is not permitted at the show. Our parking lots will be closed off each night and open in the morning.
Can I bring cigarettes, marijuana, or vape?
No, smoking in any form is prohibited. Leave all smoking paraphernalia in your car to avoid confiscation at the gates.
Do you recommend ear protection?
Yes. While not required, it is recommended guests bring ear protection for everyone. The aerial performance teams and other demonstrations create lots of loud noises.
Are pets allowed into the show?
No. Only registered service animals are allowed. Family pets are not allowed into the venue. Please do not leave your pets or service animals in your car.
Please note that we would advise you to take strong consideration before bringing a service animal to the event. Jet aircraft can be very loud, the airport ramp surface can get very hot on the paws and animals must be under control at all times.
Can I arrive at any time?
Yes, but plan ahead! Please note that the aerial performances run each day from approximately 12:00pm until 4:00pm. This is subject to change, so please check back closer to the show.
What time should I get there?
Early! Gates open at 9:30 AM.
When gates open our static displays, exhibits, vendors and concessions will also open. We highly recommend arriving in plenty of time before the performances are scheduled to begin. There WILL be traffic.
Will there be a drop off gate?
Our team is working on the logistics for a potential drop-off area. Please check back closer to the show.
At the Show
Will the schedule of performers be the same both Saturday and Sunday?
Yes. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature the same lineup of incredible aerial performers.
The schedule is subject to change.
If the schedule changes, how will I know?
Please visit our website and be sure to follow us on social media for all updates and announcements regarding the show.
Is smoking or vaping allowed at the show?
No. The San Marcos Airport is a smoke free and vape-free venue.
Are restrooms available?
Yes. Both the General Admission and VIP areas will have portable restrooms available in addition to ADA accessible units.
Will there be food and beverage available on site?
Yes! There will be a variety of food vendors throughout the venue. There will also be alcoholic beverages available to purchase for those 21 or older.
Can I come and go from the event?
No. There is no re-entry.
Do I need to bring cash?
Both cash and card will be accepted. However bringing cash will mitigate any connection issues.
What if I lose something?
Please check the lost and found.
Is there a place to change my baby?
Please check back closer to the show for information.
Will lactation space be available?
Please check back closer to the show for information.
Is there a venue map?
Yes, there will be a venue map. It is currently being updated. Please check back closer to the air show.
Tickets
What do I do if I lost my ticket email or never received a confirmation?
Send us an email [email protected] with the email and name your order is under and we will resend your tickets.
Please note that the email will come from “TicketSignUp.” If you do not see it in your inbox, check your spam folder as occasionally the emails will land there.
Do I need to print out a hard copy of my ticket?
No, you do not need to print out your ticket. Our volunteers just need to be able to scan the QR code on your smart phone.
Do I need a ticket if I plan to sit in General Admission?
Every seating area, including General Admission, requires a ticket. Please check out our tickets page to explore your options.
Is my ticket good for either day of the show?

Parking
Will any roads be closed around the site?
Maybe. We are currently working with the airport and local law enforcement to create an egress and ingress parking plan. Please check back closer to the air show for more information.
Is there motorcycle parking?
In all parking lots, motorcycles will be parked just like any other vehicle and will require a parking pass. There is NOT a motorcycle specific parking pass or parking area.
Can I bring a bike to the Air Show?

Is there a parking map?
Yes, there will be a parking map. It is currently being updated. Please check back closer to the air show.
Accessibility
Are service animals permitted at the Air Show?
Per ADA Guidelines, recognized service animals are permitted. However, we would advise you to take strong consideration before bringing a service animal to the event. Jet aircraft can be very loud, the airport ramp surface can get very hot on the paws and animals must be under control at all times.
Are show facilities ADA accessible?
Yes. Access is not restricted at all.
Can I bring my wheelchair/scooter/golf cart?
Motorized scooters and wheelchairs for disabled patrons are allowed on the air show grounds.
Personal golf carts are NOT allowed. Please be aware that the crowds may be heavy, maneuvering may be difficult, and that there is no place at the show to plug in and recharge.
Will there be a place to charge my mobility aid?
No, there will not be a place to charge your mobility aid at the show.
Is there transportation for mobility restricted patrons?
No. There will be no transportation. Mobility restricted parking is limited so plan on getting to your parking space early.
Is there handicap parking at the show?
We do have handicap parking in our lots. In order to park in these spots, you MUST HAVE a parking pass for the lot and either the handicap placard or license plate.
Handicap parking is first come first park, so please arrive early if you need a handicap spot.
Other
Where do the proceeds of the air show go?
All proceeds from the Texas Capital Air Show will go to the Wings & Warriors Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Wings & Warriors Foundation strives to eradicate suicide in our nation’s military members and first responders by being there for them in their times of need and providing them with any support and resources they may need. Wings & Warriors Foundation is a volunteer organization made up of people who come from all walks of life and share the common goal of helping those in their time of need.
