Please view the information below to learn more about directions to the Texas Capital Air Show, and parking at the event once you arrive.
PLEASE NOTE: You must have a parking pass or be travelling with someone who does when attending the event. There is NO rideshare/dropoff allowed.Â
Know Before You Go
Parking opens at 9:00 AM
All vehicles parking at the show are required to obtain a paid parking pass online in advance.

There is limited parking space at the Air Show, so once all parking passes have been sold, there will be NO more parking passes released. Vehicles arriving at the Air Show without a parking pass will not be admitted.
NO loitering or tailgating is permitted in the parking lots.
NO RVs, campers, or other oversized vehicles. Parking space is very limited, and to fit as many vehicles into the parking lot as possible, we are limiting the size of vehicles.
Due to limited egress and ingress routes to the airport, we will NOT have a drop-off area at the show this year.
Tips
Please have your parking pass ready to show the parking attendants BEFORE you get to the front of the line. This will help traffic flow more smoothly into the parking lot.
Arrive early
With limited entrance routes to the airport, we do expect some traffic, so by arriving early, you can potentially avoid some of that traffic.
Stay Later
While flying ends at 4 PM, gates don’t close until 4:30 PM, so stick around after flying to see the ground displays one more time and avoid the initial heavy flow of exit traffic.
Accessibility Information
A limited number of handicapped parking spaces will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis in both the Red Lot and the Blue Lot. Those wishing to park in one of these spots must have their parking pass, and either the license plate or the handicap placard.
There is no handicap specific parking pass.
Both the Red Lot and the Blue Lot are on a hard surface, so they will be easily maneuvered.
Red Lot
This lot is for those with General Admission, Premium Box, and Mustang Club tickets.
A limited number of handicapped parking spaces will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those wishing to park in one of these spots must have their parking pass and either the license plate or the handicap placard. There is no handicap specific parking pass.

Blue Lot
This lot is for those with Raptor Club, VIP, and friends and family tickets.

2026 Texas Capital Air Show – Parking Map & Directions Accessibility Guide
The Texas Capital Air Show takes place November 7–8, 2026, at San Marcos Airport in San Marcos, Texas.
Event Hours
Parking opens: 9:00 AM
Gates open: 9:30 AM
Flying performances: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Gates close: 4:30 PM
General Parking
General Parking is located on the western side of the event grounds, south of the airport’s main runway.
Follow the red route shown on the parking map:
Access Airport Drive from Airport Highway (Highway 21).
Travel south on Airport Drive toward Kane Avenue.
Follow the marked route and directional signage to the General Parking entrance near Kane Avenue.
The General Parking area is adjacent to the General Spectator Area.
VIP Parking
VIP Parking is located on the southeastern side of the event grounds, near the VIP Spectator Area.
Follow the blue route shown on the parking map:
Approach from Highway 173 (also labeled 173 on the map), near its connection with Mill Road.
Follow the marked route northwest toward the airport.
Continue along the designated route to VIP Parking.
VIP Parking is adjacent to the VIP Spectator Area and near the Wings & Warriors Spectator Area.
Important Parking Information
General Parking and VIP Parking use separate designated approach routes. Please follow the route corresponding to your parking designation and observe event traffic signs and instructions from parking personnel.
The map does not identify accessible parking spaces, accessible drop-off locations, or accessible pedestrian routes. Contact the event organizer for information about accessibility accommodations.
